The East Chicago Public Library will exhibit until March 2 a display of 15 paintings by a local artist, Frank R. Myslive. These realistic oils have as their subject items of local interest, including the Dunes, Indiana Harbor Beach, farms and country scenes of the Calumet region, some still life’s, industrial scenes and human interest material. 

The painter, Frank R. Myslive, was born in East Chicago, and his family was one of the earliest settlers in the region. He now lives at 534 Cherry Street, Hammond, and is employed at the Inland Steel Company, where he has worked for 26 years. He has two sons. He is a camera bug, is interested in conservation, and teaches classes at Lansing, and has taught classes in East Chicago.
